Value study, 8 x 10.  This is the value study for a painting.  I painted this in Anne Hightower-Patterson's workshop.  I finished it more as a small painting taking more time than I would typically take for a study.

This is the start of a quarter sheet painting after the first 2 passes.  I used masking before the first wash and before the second wash.  After what I learned from the two studies I am approaching the painting differently than I had planned.

State Mural

Mural - 4 prepared 4' x 8' aluminum panels painted with exterior house paint.  Total size 8' high by 16' wide.  **The panels were photographed individually in poor lightening conditions so things are not quite the right value, color and do not line up correctly in the photos.  But this gives you a decent idea of how it looks overall.

Person County/Roxboro Mural.  The mural is 8' wide by 16" high.  It's painted with exterior house paint on 4 aluminum panels.  The photo was taken with the mural on its side, the 4 panels lined up next to each other leaning against the wall.  Spaces can be seen between the panels.

Person County Mural so far.  It's not finished of course.  The top panel has only beginning shapes and zero shading yet (they were all like that at the start).  The 3 lower panels are close to done, little bits of work left here and there.  The colors and lighting appear different due to photography and where the panels are in the room. Some panels are close to the window and washed out on one side and some are in the dim light.  Any small parts that don't quite match up are due to photography.  The mural is made of four 4' x 8' panels.  So it's 8' wide and 16' high in total.
